During our stay, we appreciated the easy stroll to the Virginia Creeper Trail, which offered beautiful scenic views, and the proximity to Veterans Memorial Park, perfect for a relaxing afternoon walk. we truly enjoyed our time exploring the area. As a couple traveling for the weekend, the hotel provided a comfortable base for our adventures, even if we faced a slight distance to dining options for dinner—but that was manageable with a grocery store right across the street for snacks and quick meals.

Spent a night here with fam and was super impressed. The room was spacious and looked modern. The shower was really nice! They had Dove soap, which was a cool touch. The pool was spotless and my husband loved checking the pH levels. Just wish the breakfast had a bit more variety, but everything else was great!

The check-in experience was a headache. there were multiple charges made to my credit card, and I had to clarify the discrepancies that felt like I was in a counterfeit money exchange. The furniture in my room lacked comfort, with only two uncomfortable chairs, making it hard for the whole group to hang out together. The pool felt on the chilly side, not quite up to snuff for a relaxing swim, and the limited seating in the bedroom left the place feeling too bare for group travelers like us.

i had a great stay at holiday inn express & suites, abingdon. the breakfast was good, but what stood out the most was the staff. they were all welcoming, friendly, and attentive. the location is also convenient for visiting the nearby barter theatre, which we loved!
